Organization for Tropical Agriculture (OTS):

OTS is a consortium of 64 major educational and research institutions in the U.S. and abroad founded for the purpose of promoting an understanding of tropical environments and their intelligent use by people. The University of Florida is a charter member. The Center for Tropical Agriculture has a significant role in assuring the inclusion of students from Florida in the OTS program. In Costa Rica, Panama, Peru, Brazil, Uganda and Tanzania, the OTS conducts graduate field courses in tropical biology and ecology, agricultural ecology, population biology, and forestry. University of Florida graduate students may register for in credits in an appropriate departmental course cross-listed with OTS, e.g. BOT 6951, PCB 6357C, or AGG 6933. Also research grants are available through OTS.
